THE PROJECT IS INTENDED TO IMPROVE OPERATIONS FOR AMTRAK S INTERCITY SERVICES, AS WELL AS NEW JERSEY TRANSIT (NJ TRANSIT) COMMUTER SERVICES AND PORT AUTHORITY OF NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY PORT AUTHORITY TRANS-HUDSON TRANSIT SERVICE (PATH).
